I’m Felipe Vidal, the creator of TOXICOLOGIST.EU. With a background in pharmacy and toxicology, my work across academia and the professional world has led me to a simple conclusion: science should be understandable.

One of the biggest challenges in science today is not a lack of knowledge, but how that knowledge is communicated. Scientists are trained to produce precise, publishable work—not necessarily to write, present, or design for clarity. As a result, even scientists can struggle to interpret research outside their own field.
This is not a matter of intelligence or literacy, but of structure. There is a growing expectation to read multiple papers per day, yet truly understanding a single paper can take hours—or even days. The difficulty often lies in how complex ideas are presented and how much context is assumed.
In the past, journals had clearer audiences. Today, with research widely accessible through databases like PubMed and Scopus, that context is often lost, and readers engage with material not written for them.

Through this platform, I aim to bridge that gap. I break down the steps needed to understand scientific work, provide essential background, and connect evidence across disciplines—so readers can follow not just the conclusions, but the reasoning behind them.
The goal is not to oversimplify, but to make complexity accessible. My aim is to make science easier to navigate without losing its depth.
